JSF holds debriefing workshopDec 31, 2013
In order to benefit from a country with similar socio, economic and legal context, an experiential learning tour was organised in December 2013 in Delhi, India by JSF. A team was selected to get peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, teach-in events and thematic orientations from key justice institutions of Delhi, India. The participants group consisted of 20 senior Judicial Officers including representatives from two Pilot districts of JSF, i.e. Comilla and Pabna.
Following this, a de-briefing workshop was organised on June 7, 2014 at the Hotel Ruposhi Bangla by Ministry of Law & Justice division and JSF to exchange of views of the participants and reflect on what they experienced and how best to put lessons learned into practice, to share the learning of the Delhi Judicial Academy (DJA) and brainstorm on how to enhance the curriculum of JATI, to explore the Strategic planning report of JATI and to ensure that learning from DJA is addressed in the strategic planning to enhance the curriculum of JATI.
The inaugural session was chaired by Mr. ASSM Zahirul Haque, Secretary, Law and Justice Division, MoLJPA and National Project Director of JSF. Special guests at the session included Dr. Md. Golam Mortuza Mozumder, Senior District and sessions Judge (delegation member of the tour) Jessore and Dr. Akhtaruzzaman, Director (Admin), JATI.
Respective participants (senior districts Judges) of the experiential learning tour to India, representatives from Law and Justice Division, representative of UNDP Bangladesh, Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) of JSF and project personnel also attended the workshop.
The report of the experiential learning tour and individual report of the respective participants were also shared in the workshop.
