Courses on Rio Conventions incorporated in the regular curriculum of NAPDApr 29, 2018
The closing ceremony of 4th Training of Trainers (TOT) on Rio Conventions jointly organized by the Rio project, Department of Environment and National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD) and Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy (BCSAA) from February to April 2018. Ms. Nasreen Akhter, Secretary to GoB and Director General, National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD)was presented as the Chief guest at the ceremony.
Ms. Akhter declared that the NAPD is going to incorporate the training module on Rio Conventions into all regular training programs in total 70 regular courses carried out by the academy every year. For increasing the cumulative awareness on environmental issues and remedial measures of the government officials.
Dr. Sultan Ahmed, Director General, Department of Environment and Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) expressed his gratitude to NAPD for incorporating the training module on Rio Conventions into the regular curriculum of the academy. He also thanked the NAPD for hosting three TOT programs .
National Project Coordinator, Rio Project, UNDP Mr. A S Moniruzzaman Khan was also present at the occasion.
