A day long workshop on the different issues of Digital Bangladesh for the journalists from Rangamati was held at Sylhet circuit house auditorium on 4 August. UNDP and USAID supported Access to Information (a2i) Programme of the Prime Minister's office with the help of Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) organized the workshop.

As a part of the nationwide media networking, Rangamati chapter of Development Journalists' Forum (DJF) was formed with a view to building better communication between local journalists and the a2i Programme for positive reporting on e-service delivery and other issues of development to create mass public awareness and promote local innovation.

Total of 39 local journalists from both print and electronic media of the district participated in the workshop. The Journalists were shown the latest developments of the Digital Bangladesh initiative across the country. They were also informed of the role of Mass Media in Creating Public Awareness on Digital Bangladesh' and 'Reporting on Digital Bangladesh, Feature Analyses: Concept-Structure. Earlier, a2i programme arranged similar workshops in Chapainawabganj, Rajshahi Rangpur, Chittagong and Moulovibazar, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jessore.

Md. Mostafa Kamala, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Rangamati District was present as the chief guest while Md. Shah Alomgir, the Director General of PIB was present as the Chairperson. Sunil Kanti Dey, the president of Rangamati Press Club was present as the special guest at the programme.
