BRESL starts factory visits

The BRESL Project team has started factory visits to those companies who have received Energy Star Label Certificate from BSTI. The first visit was on Monday, 30 September at Super Star Electronics Ltd. 

The mission members were Mr. Md. Abdul Matin, Director BSTI & NPD BRESL, Mr. Shahjahan Chowdhury, PM, Mr. Md. Farhad Alam, A & FA, Ms. Nasrin Akter, Program Assistant, Mr. Md. Monirul Islam, Office Assistant of BRESL Project, Mr. Md. Abdur Rashid, Assistant Director (Elect.), BSTI, Mr. Mobin Ul Islam, Assistant Director (Elect.), BSTI and Mr. Md. Mesbaur Rahman, Field Officer, BSTI, Dhaka. This visit was aimed to monitor whether the products followed the approved rules of BSTI and encouraged the factory management to submit documents for issuing BSTI approved energy star label certificates for Electric Fan.

The National Project Director of BRESL spoke about how to reduce CO2 by the use of energy efficient (EE) products and connect the Superstar Electronics Ltd. with GEF through UNDP so that GEF can help sustainable environment activities by producing EE electrical appliances.
