Workshop on digital Bangladesh for journalists

A day long workshop on the different issues of digital Bangladesh for the journalists of Dhaka Division was held at Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) auditorium on 16 November. UNDP and USAID supported Access to Information (a2i) Programme of the Prime Minister's office with the help of Press Institute of Bangladesh organised this workshop. As many as 48 journalists from Dhaka and different districts of Dhaka Division participated the programme.

Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, vice-chancellor of Dhaka University (DU) was present as the chief guest. He said, "Building Digital Bangladesh is an ongoing process. Mass awareness is needed to make this process a success and journalists have to play the pivotal role in creating the mass awareness".

The workshop was presided over by Md Shah Alamgir, director general of PIB.
